keep your eye on this one who romped tonight in the elims of the waterloo at grand river tonight. this is grand river's signature event. somebeachsomewhere is a maritime horse who qualified at truro in 200.1, interesting but nothing to get excited about, since he was facing fun of the game who finished second to deuce seelster last week. fun of the game looked on paper to be 1-5 or less but when somebeachsomewhere opened at 1-9 it merited notice . when still 3-5 with 3 minutes to go you knew there was something about this horse. he raced like a horse in command first over blowing by fun of the game in 154.2 on the half-miler setting a track record. there was still some horse in the tank left.

was he impressive in that race?--of course

but PLEASE--learn how to watch a race--he really paced hard for a little more than 1/8 a mile--he followed Saftic with the 1-2 chalk--dove in to the pocket--closely followed Saftic wisely so--and paced right by in a fast time for GrR

please consider he did none of the heavy lifting--and please be honest--he tripped out

if you are SBSW lover--you can choose far, far many more better choices to support your case--but you chose a race where he trips out

show us a Gold series Final whre he was taxed heavily--oops that never happened

We will agree to disagree but you are wrong.  He could have won any way he wanted to no horse in the HISTORY has went 54.2 as a 2yr old first time on a half mile track.  As for being able to watch a race i think im qualified  Grin.  He was SO GOOD he MADE it like like a piece of cake.  thumbs up
