Was* the duck.. Got canned for making insensitive comments

"I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, "there'll be another one floating by any minute."

"Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach. The beach comes to them."

The 1st 1= hilarious IMO

I guess most of you never heard Lenny Bruce !!
Try to listen to his humor, and get back to us !!!

He pioneered what these hacks do today...Hope was classic in his own right, as was Groucho.  Todays comedy is a far cry from days gone by imo.

George Carlin = paved the way with the 6 words you can't say on TV
Lewis Black Robin Williams Jeff Foxworthy Alonzo Bodden John Pinette Chris Rock
Ron White   So it's more than 3  doh

Good list, though I would remove Lewis Black. Gottfried is a genius when he free-associates on Stern.  Live, he's a little stilted, even scripted.  Guys like Williams and Foxworthy (and Klein, a bit back in the day) are far more inventive than Lenny Bruce ever was.  Bruce played the martyr too much. Groucho was very funny IF  scripted; not so funny spontaneously.

The guys who do impressions nowadays are far better than the old breed; Frank Caliendo's amazing.  The big question is whether Kevin Pollak's amazing Walken is better than Jay Mohr's  (from 1:55):

I'm right with you guys on Klein and Carlin, but I don't get Black... yeah, he's angry... AND?  His political stuff is simplistic... "ha ha, Bush is a stoopit-hed, all politicians suck, there's no difference between the Dems and the Repubs"; to me, that's college-dorm stuff.

Forgot the great Jim Gaffigan, who among many other things, is infinitely funnier than fellow Hoosier David Letterman.
