Magna graduate is a sneaky good sire. Kind of like scat daddy. The horses that dont get the pub have been good sires.

I'm very hopeful that TVG shows it. With SAs opener I'm afraid it could get scrapped. Te only good thing is Turfwau canceled today so it frees up some tv time.

main thing was he made it around ok(hopefully hes tearin down the barn in the next couple of days) and gained some valuable experience! michelle's definately a capable trainer but heading into today she was 0 for 9 first time out even tho thats obviously a tiny sample but maybe she doesnt train to fire right away. nice interview jim miller had with gail vacca on the air a couple races prior to the 6th

Wanted to thank everyone at BTW for all your well wishes and for cheering Taxi on!
While he didnt win yesterday, we are all VERY proud of our boy for running a respectable race and for handling everything quite well. He was well behaved in the paddock and post parade (albeit a bit nervous), broke sharply AND straight from the gate, and despite being hung out 5-wide throughout the race, he kept trying all the way. He cooled out well and showed no sign of post race anxiety...always a good thing!
We hope to bring him home for a little R&R once the QT is lifted and then bring him back to run again later this coming spring. All in all - it was a very good learning experience and we are just thrilled (and relieved!) to have his first start under our belt!

Good to hear that he came back well. It looked to me like he started to make a middle move but flattened out. The wide trip didn't help, but the fact that it looked like he tried to pass horses is a good sign for a firster. Good luck!!! |

Did anyone see the feature on Taxi's mom yesterday on the channel 9 news @ 5 p.m. ? What a kind and sweet mare.  They interviewed Gail V. @ the farm in big rock.  Taxi is supposed to run again on the 15th. @ Haw.  Sod |

What a day! I was elated with the selection of our new Pope and so ecstatic that he chose the name Francis, one of my favorite Saints and the Patron Saint of animals. Lulu and Taxi are so blessed to have their guardian angel, Gail Vacca. Congratulations to Taxi, Gail and all connected. What a wonderful story this is and, hopefully, inspirational for others.
