Can yall remember back to February? dunno

*** had bought Lyons Frank out of the sale, he had been racing in Canada at Sudbury.

*** put the horse in his baby's momma's name Carrie Parker as owner and his mother Roberta Allen was down as trainer. sneaky rat

*** kept driving against the horse selecting R Bob's horses over the horse he owned. sneaky rat

Then on Feb 15th in the last race of the night *** is off the board and his own horse wins at 17-1 with Josh Sutton driving and parked 1/2 the mile from the 9 hole. bowing

Surely *** and Roberta LOVED this horse too? After all they owned this horse unlike Zeke. doh

So what did they do after winning at 17-1 and the future looking up for Lyons Frank? dunno   They sold him! doh

They sold him to Greg Trotto and Fred Sporrer and Chris Short was the trainer.

Why sell the horse when you just got him turned around and win big at 17-1? dunno

Were they pissed that they missed their chance to cash? Ira claimed nobody bet the horse! laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy

Seems like a lot of time and effort to invest in a cheap horse, reverse his form then bail on him? dunno

I wouldn't do that to the horses I loved. head shake

He has raced well at Rosecroft.

Maybe Ira and Bobby wanted him to do well?

That wouldn't do well with your narrative though.

The horse is doing well here.

Lyon Frank won out of the 9 hole.
2 for 89 from the 9.

You didn't bet it. If you had hed have lost.
Its a conspiracy.

This has been hashed out before.

The only point intended this time was why get rid of a horse that's starting to make you money if you love him.

The Zeke thread has dozen of posts saying Roberta loved that horse and would never do anything to hurt the horse ie.. drugs.

They didn't own Zeke and had him a very short time.

They owned Lyons Frank and got rid of him as soon as he won. Where's the love?

personally do not know what happen.  speculation would be that because he did win and look to be in good condition.  he actually would fetch a good price right now.

You mean using logic?

Maximizing the value of a possession without becoming emotionally attached.

That makes too much sense.

Which goes back to my original point in the other thread.

Where did the emotional attachment come from in such a very short time?

When selling a horse i think the saying " What have you done for me lately " applies . The sale of a horse by no means diminishes you like or dislike .
I've been involved in sales and claiming of horses from trainer/ owners who only had one horse racing . I was accused of the unwritten rule of claiming an only horse . My trainer was approached prior to claim or sale by the trainer but the public wasn't privy to that information .
It's nice to see a small barn take a horse and better them and even nocer if they make much needed profit to stay afloat .
