Toscano gets 10 days and a 1500$ fine--while other poor piss ant trainers-have had the book thrown at them -and their training lives ruined-for exactly the same offence.

When you are the listed trainer of a stable YOU are to blame. Period.

If Toscano had't won some big races this year, would she still be given the special lenient treatment?

This is not the first positive for her as she has had several others like around 10 previously. Great year yes, but she is know different than any others. Any other poor sucker as mentioned previously was given a serious suspension but not her, why? Affording the best lawyer maybe one of the reasons what are your thoughts.  It will be interesting to see how Jeff Gural handles this when removing others from racing at his tracks.  I can only see what Kenny Jacobs reaction would have been if it was one of his horses!

Gural's reaction was to call up to the Racing and Wagering board and be the reason that she's getting 10 days for a class 1!!.....Guy is a hypocrite of the worst kind

I waited to see a post like tghis one-I couldn't agree more! She blames the vet but takes responsibility. Leave out the part about this being the vets fault and move on.

one positive, not a string of many

she accepted responsibility and handled the matter with class

she's an exceptional horseman, watch her not miss a beat with her new crop next year

the vet accepted responsibility

she's the best trainer on the NYSS and teaches them how to race

It's her 3rd positive in NY alone, most of those other guys it was their 1st.  Pemoline is a class 1 drug and she got 10 days for it? Why? Because she's a nice person? Because she accepted responsibility ? Why because its the vets fault? Majority of positive are vet administered

For the record, Linda got two positives in 2001 and one in 1998.  With this current positive, this is four over twenty years.
