well the yanks just threw kevin youkilis 12 million to basically be a starter for half the season while A rod is on the mend. he came here and did a solid job and was red hot right off the bat and single handedly won some games on the southside but overall batted only .235 for the season. obviously baseball salaries have been outrageous for a long time but the cubs a couple years ago threw pena 10 mil or a little more i believe for a season when he batted under 2 hundo the year before LOL. crazy to see what yook might get paid if he could sniff a 3 hundred BA
