For *TABLET* Magazine?
It seems like an interesting publication. But something tells me there's not much of an audience for it here. Ye gods.

Of course we all see it. Jewish issues and affairs are the most important subject on this forum.

Good to see your anti-semitism continues to be right out there even during Hanukah.

Most liberals hate Jews -- except for the Jewish liberals, who are the strangest of all people. Poll after poll shows that the Democrats support the Arabs more than Israel -- and most of the Democrats who support Israel -- are Jewish Democrats.

Well, NJC, those pushy Chosen types are a pestiferous lot, aren't they... who do they think they are, really? One-half of one percent of the world's population* and they think they MATTER? Worse yet, they go around telling everyone they're "beyond all question the most formidable and the most remarkable race which has ever appeared in the world,"** or, to the Francophones " un peuple d'elite, sur de lui-meme et dominateur."*** Bastards. *...and over 20% of all Nobel laureates. **the noted Jew, Winston Churchill ***DeGaulle, another famous Zhid

Coming from R2D2 on the 'other' forum, the greatest anti-semite of the harness racing forums, this statement is very very odd.

Why bother trying to fix stupid. True, you would think that HE would have compasssion for groups that have been persecuted. Obviously not. Guess he has to deal with a lot, so he just hates the world. Nice approach to life. But you are correct--stupid is forever. Not much Terry can do about forever. Its a long time

? My DOS driven 286 doesn't show me pictures! Am I missing anything? Tell ya what ya do, Steve. Spend a couple of bucks on a math co-processor. Upgrade to DOS 4.01 (4.01 fixes a lot of the bugs in 4.0). That thing will scream like a 386SX. Add a 2400 baud modem and an SVGA card. You can hook up a nice 15" Color CRT. You're ready to rock and roll.

I know one thing for sure. Indecision may or may not be my problem.

One more thing. Swap out one of your 5.25" floppy drives for a new 3.5" drive. They'll soon be all the rage.

A few weeks ago I set one on the curb for trash day. It hadn't been used in nine years. I didn't think anybody would take the thing. It was gone in an hour. FWIW, I bought a used flat screen for $7.00 a while back as a backup. Hooked it up to an old DX2-66 with a AMD K2 processor (350 meg) and the monitor worked fine. The DX2-66 had an integral video card that was limited to 800 X 600.

Wish I could fine a 5.25 for a few bucks. They are available, however not worth what sellers are asking.

The AMD K2 was the equivalent to the 486, no? I had a 486 DX2 that really blew away my 386.

Not sure Old. In 2001 I changed computers from a 90-meg 386 to the AMD K6-2 and it was a big improvement. I only pulled the thing out a while back because it had a software I needed. Boxed it back up after using. Today you can buy the old 486's with a CPU just under 1-gig for $100 or less. Even single core machines (which I currently use) are outdated today. Hell! Duo-cores are outdated.
