Because of another topic I looked up the results from Wednesday night and :

                             Drives            Wins        2nd         3rd

Chris Page                8                   4             2             1
Ron Wrenn Jr           12                  4             4             2
Tyler Smith              7                   0              0            0

Past 30 days

starts   wins   win %  places   place %  shows   show %   udrs   in the money %  roi on win  purses   earnings per start

Wrenn, Ronnie 231 51 22% 40 17% 22 10% 0.349 49% -6% $98,487 $426
Page, Chris 193 40 21% 27 14% 17 9% 0.314 44% -10% $72,097 $374
Smith, Tyler 141 23 16% 23 16% 14 10% 0.287 43% -31% $50,426 $358

In my opinion Ronnie seems to "get" it better than the others.  Page is just stronger and more aggressive.  Tyler is a step below those 2 at this point.

I am liking the young gun driving colony @ Northfield right now. I started watching the track when Ronnie Wrenn Jr started driving there. I've always liked Chris Page & used to wish that he drove at a track I watched. I just love watching these two battle it out. Add in Tyler Smith & JD Wengerd giving them a run for their money & it = very watchable & betable harness.

When is the Ohio slot $ going to meet the Northfield purses? I know they plan on building a Hard Rock Cafe & Casino at Northfield. Small purses until then?

Wengerd Awful and Smith needs to trip out. Wrenn gets more out a horse than anyone. Got Beans and WQeenies to come from the back this Saturday which shows how good he can be. Wrenn more than capable at Indiana with a good horse too.

Wrenn def talented & the reason I watch the track. Wengerd currently a nice consistent longshot meister. Bet him or not, it's your choice.

Your ROI on Wengerd would have you taking out a payday loan twice a week. trophy

You can call it bad stock, or you can say he was outclassed and his driving style doesn't fit thoses tracks. I will go with the latter. But will say he does great at Running Aces, Northfield or Buffalo. Those places all seem to have less skilled drivers and are smaller tracks.
