That was not the best move, it was more like an "old" Bobby move.  That was the norm not long ago, but in his defense he has cut way down on his mistakes.

That drive was my best laugh of the night...Had to come home & watch the replay a few times Grin Grin Grin

Sorry ***, that is called getting  censor slapped doh doh

I am not sure who was more surprised, the announcer or TT....

TT is on an invitaional class horse at 2-5... head shake head shake head shake

Sitting 3rd was not that bad, knowing full well whoever was going first up was 99% going backwards on the last turn...
plenty of time to get out for 2nd or 3rd & a nice check

Bobby has been driving better lately, but kind of like being the tallest *** against this colony.

All i can say is the Illinois drivers should be grateful Tim Tetrick doesn't drive in Illinois much . Smolin gots his nutz handed to him by Tetrick and better keep R. Bob Phillips happy .
Guess Smolin thought Tetrick was going to let him have a give and go .... All Smolin got was  screw screw screw screw

I'm just a guy with a passion for the sport.  I wouldn't know Ira if he slapped me, until he said, by the way, I'm Ira.

And the fact that Tim made Smolin's move look iffy at best, well, if Tim went anywhere not named Yonkers, The Meadowlands, Dover, Pocono, The Meadows, Chester, he would make them all look stupid, every race, every horse, every time.

In any event, thanks for driving well Bobby, you make it much more fun to watch the races and you are now making it much easier to bet the races, which I reckon ultimately helps you.  Keep it up.

I think you would see some but not as many as you would think.  Between Chester, Pocono, Meadowlands, and Yonkers about two hours from each other too many big races to chose from in driving distance.  Compare that to better purses in the Illinois there wouldn't be a sire program for a while and you are to far from the grand circuit races.  I don't see that many heading west maybe some of the younger guys or some with family still in the Midwest.  Even the top trainers that have left have many two year old and yearling to race out East you may not even see them set up shop for a few years.  Slots mean bigger overnight purses but as far as getting a sire program started will take years getting mares back to the state.  Nice to think about but years away and that's if the pipe dream of a gaming bill passing.

I did not intend to imply he was Ron Pierce, or even his next coming, however, he is making improvements and in a profession dominated in numbers by hacks that exist only to fill a void, improvement is rare.  When he first drove it seemed he was a bit over anxious, feeling he had to win every race with his efforts.  He is now understanding that often the path to the winner's circle lies in the other idiot's mistakes.  In any event, best of luck to him and as I said earlier, thanks for making it fun for me.

Not that Illinois would get Casino (Racino) but isnt Maywood Park, Balmoral Park, Hawthorne,Aurora(Would need to be built for licence ) and even Fairmount . I think several drivers including the Cal-Expo crew would invade Illinois .
I'm just playing devils advocate and throwing it out for opinions .
