Somebody please watch this race and tell me if I am hallucinating.


Mike Saftic is on the 6/5 favorite and has the lead the whole race. Deep in the stretch and at the wire he seems to choke down the horse to a walk. Makes no effort to urge the horse and win.

Just look at race at about 50 yards to the wire and just before the wire. He is practically horizontal in the bike, shutting down the horse.
 
Looking for some input ...not a conspiracy theory.

The horse was parked to a 26.3 1st qtr and went into a 55:4 half got tired and lost by a head.

Shit happens move on.

At first i thought he didnt urge the horse because i forgot you can use the whip north of the border....Bad for both of us.  But i did get into that early pick 4 like Will clark got into the cubs in the 89 NLCS.....

Canbec Fridolin (sp) is one of the hardest trying claiming/conditioned trotters on that circuit.  He got roughed up early and only beat a head.  I thought the horse went a huge mile.
