The oddsmaker at Dover made Goo the third choice at 7/2 in Sundayís Matron final. Uncle Peter is tabbed as the 2/1 favorite from the five with Pierce and Little Brown Fox is second choice at 3/1 with YG from the six. Goo starts from the seven.

Last week LBF was the ML favorite and Goo was second choice, but Goo went off at even money from the second tier and LBF was sent away at 4/1.

LBF wasnít especially impressive last week and neither was Uncle Peter, who sat the pocket trip. Both lost to stone fingers Takter and Guccio, who spent the mile outside.

Uncle Peter was off for more than two months after racing poorly in the Colonial and the Zweig. And LBF has finished second or third in six of his last ten starts.

Itís hard to believe the bettors wonít throw out Gooís tour of the track in the elimination and send him away as the chalk on Sunday. The Takter trio races as separate betting interests.

Goo has been favored in every start except the Colonial. In that one the Takter entry of LBF, Guccio and Uncle Peter was even money and Goo was 2/1. He left them in his wake. Earlier, in the Beal, Goo was sent away at 1/2 while the Takter entry of Uncle Peter, LBF and Nothing But Class went off at 2/1. Goo bottomed the field.

He had the 3 hole at the colonial.

7 hole is tough. Hopefully can pick off a few at the start.

I am seeing another long first over grind coming up.

3-1 is fair. Ill bet 2-1 or higher a small win bet.

The Takter entry is also 3 against 1.

But there is no market share and he was clearly second best at the colonial.

Should be a fun race to watch.

I know Yanick made the mile with Pierce sitting behind him last week, and the boss came along and got the win, so it seems like they were working together. But throughout the season the Takter trotters, coupled in the betting or not, have pretty much gone their own way. They donít seem to go into any race with a plan. It seemed like happenstance when Guccio won last week. I donít think Gingras and Pierce were setting it up for Takter to come overland the entire mile and pick them up with Guccio.

As you pointed out, Market Share, who shared second choice status with Goo at 2-1 in the Colonial, was second best in that race. The Takter colts have come up way short against Goo. You wonít be getting 2-1 in this race. No way. The elimination was a joke. How many times did the announcer say, ďAnd I think Goo is going to be 3 wide and wingin,Ē but it never happened.

I by no means meant to say any type of chicanery was happening.
Agree about the Takter entries. But it is still 3 against 1.
Which should get you some odds.

I don't see goo 3 wide and wingin. I see him first over.
