NONE.... sarcasm. sarcasm sarcasm  Same old crap with the same tired people in charge for example the  9th race on  Saturday Nov. 17, 2012. 4 horses in the same race with the same trainer....really. What a joke. CalX isn't interested in passing around the money to just anyone because his horses have a chance of garnishing 75% or more of the total purse. So the other 6 horses are basically racing for 2200 dollars. The purpose of these series was to help most of the people who were there not making any money for almost 5 months. Instead it is still for the select few. They basically promise better times ahead but, never deliver.

Someone will be real busy Friday night or Saturday morning or both.

It is also nice to see that some of same the people who can't make it on the East coast are welcomed back with open arms no matter what they did or said about Cal X.   Changes at CalX ...... business as usual.    laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy laughing guy

Fuzzy pants will be stationed along the outside rail and determine whether every horse is FIT  to race in any given race . Her decision is final and not appealable . What she says go's , Period . It has been determined that she and no one else is qualified to determine which horses should be racing .

No I'll be watching thugs who create phoney lien sales to race hurt and injured horse to try to fill casino race track cards and those that support those kind of thugs.
Seems to me you are upset that a women way out on the west coast can see a horse that has know buisness racing and speaks out bothers the ever liven crap out of you and dis agrees with you and your in good hands statement makes u look like u wouldn't no a lame horse if he was standing on your lame opinion.
So makes me wander what kind of man you are?
Every one sees it but why do you refuse to admit this is abuse?
Why the cover up King??? Why is it so important to you I keep quite about this?
Because even the Usta change their rules after this incident?
But why is it so hard for u to admit? The horse is not racing sound?

I wouldn't waste my money betting especially Cal Expo. And we will see how much money those four horses earn in that event.

Pure and simple, it was a late-closing series and 4 or Gene's horses qualified for the final.  Don't know what the issue is...maybe you've never seen Ron Burke with 3 in races all over the east coast.  It''s not like the race office accepted the entries for 4 horses in 1 race from 1 trainer, because they wouldn't.

Loved the write up about Vallandingham on the front of the USTA online website. It's great how they are making this out like this is his race to take all the money......or most of it. It is a definite slap in the face of anyone thinking a couple months ago they had a chance to recoup some of the money they lost hanging around for months not making a dime and have it come to this. This demonstrates the lack of regard for anyone other than the people in the loop. Rules......I know the rules. He could have 10 horses in that race. This is about total disregard and disrespect for the other horsemen who are struggling to keep racing. It is the same OLD BOY NETWORK that has gone on for years and that's why the meet keeps getting shorter and there are less days of racing each week because they are driving these guys away by actions similar to this. And about the race office comment......who do you think designed these late closing series. Tailor make the series around the people they want to get the money. They knew long before hand if his horses were ready they would all be in the final......what a coincidence.

CalX has made their point perfectly clear they only want to deal with people who have numerous horses in their barn. The rest are just there to fill the races.  Unfortunately who stuck around for 5 months to make sure there was a meet to put on HuhHuh? Yeah that's right ........ dozens of other horsemen besides Gene who are broke and will stay broke due to leaderships lack of regard for the other horsemen they want to kick to the curb. That is what this topic is all about.

P.S. How come they didn't have a memorial race for Ken Usherson HuhHuh Typical.

Maybe you would like to comment on the fact that Lou Pena applied, and was denied either an owners or trainers license for the Cal Expo meet.

Since you brought it up....sure. First, did CalX deny him a license....no.  CHRB denied him an owner/trainer license. What does this have to do with CalX Huh? You aren't comparing apples to apples....you are comparing apples to oranges. CHRB is supposed to govern rules privately without outside influence such as..... CalX. That might sound like an oxymoron at times at CalX but, that is the way it is suppose to work.

After the last debacle 3 years back in time where the CHRB granted a person an owner/trainer license that had been denied licenses at other venues for serious violations..... the CHRB is not interested in having egg on their face once again.

My remark of CalX letting people come back with open arms does not apply to the CHRB's decision and what they decide irregardless of CalX's stance on the matter.

So you are saying that Cal Expo cannot admit anyone who is not approved by the CHRB, correct?   So that means that if you cannot get a license from the legal entity in the state of California, then Cal Expo cannot let you in.  So are you saying that Cal Expo should not allow individuals who are licensed in the state of California to race?  Isn't it the duty of the licensing board to determine if an individual should be allowed to race in a state?   Should guys like Petrelli not be allowed to race because they took up and left, leaving us somewhat short of horses when he did?

Personally I like gene and his brother .
Unfortunately the guys brother is the starter and that is conflict.

Pena is licsenes with the Chrb but it says on the liscense search engine call chrb.
It's time all racing boards honor other racing boards decision and I applaud the C H R B for doing just that.
But what about Gilbert's horses ?
I know many at a meeting were told their would be racing series for those who stayed.
I think many assumed their horse would be illegible since they went no where.
I know some trainers missed the Stevie's by 30 dollars.
As far as Frank he's not well liked he claimed many guys horses and with his suspension he already served for high test well he just not on everyone's popularity list !
Now Machoo would u care to comment onFrank?

I think I made it clear about licensing. If a person doesn't get licensed how are they allowed access to the grounds HuhHuh  They should be denied access.... period. A person can find ways around the rules by changing ownership and having someone front as his trainer but, it still means if the person isn't licensed by the CHRB he can't be allowed on the grounds to train or own a horse period. If a person is licensed by the CHRB it is up to the discretion of the management of Cal Expo to decide if they want to grant that person stalls and race at CalX. This is all basic common knowledge. CalX made the call about Petrelli to let him have stalls and let him race there. There were quite a few people on the backside who verbally voiced their displeasure to management before he arrived a year ago and the quote from the race office is they only put up with him is cause he fills the box with entries. It gets right back to the heart of this topic and what I originally stated.

.   I was wrong. Gene only garnished 62% of the total purse of 8800 dollars for the
13th race. I was surprised that Village Benjamin did not get in there as well. Maybe they are saving him for another day. Just like I said the money is still being passed around to the same people as always and they wonder why the place can't succeed. At least this week they actually tried to fix the racing surface. They get a gold star for their efforts. Of course it took them 3 months to get that rectified. Good job   laughing guy
