Pet Rock is in an excellant spot, has the speed and handles the small track well. He can go down the road or if Dube blasts sit a pocket trip and wait for path up the rail.

That's a very nice field top to bottom.  One of the best I've seen in a few years.  I'll go with Dynamic Youth catching cover and clipping them from the outside.

The Windy City purse dropped three years in a row:  In 2009, when In Over My Head won, it was 225K; the following year, when Aracache wired the field, it was 200K; and last year, when Cheddar won, it was down to 175K. However, this year itís been kicked up to 215K.

That 2009 edition, when Doug McNair beat 4/5 favorite OML with Aracache, was the race where JC gave up a pocket trip behind Aracache and challenged that one with Razzle Dazzle early in the race. It was a real head scratcher. McNair is behind Pet Rock on Friday.

This yearís WC features a much better field that last yearís edition. Last year Cheddar, the 1/9 favorite, crushed an overmatched field as Brennan took him to the front, backed down the half, and then drew off.

Thought Lucky Jet had a lot of horse but no chance last week- has 1/2 mile experience as well & 2nd time TT

Tough post- can't see him getting the top but blast may be the only option.....I don't think HK will get away that great from the rail so may be a chance for 1 or 2 to tuck..

Nice field for DA PACE

All stake races in Illinois are just estimated so it all depends who stakes to those races.  With less and less foals in Illinois and bigger races out east to stake to without the money the purses shrink.  I also think the Ihha pays less into those stakes and yes clubhouse I think your right it goes to the overnights.  Kind of remember that a year or two ago but Old and Slow would have the answer.  Luc just a byproduct of the industry let's see in a few years with the big races in Ontario how those are handled.  Illinois racing in bad shape has been for pass six seven years.

 Bomb Rickles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJPKFaazEuc

Later.....July/2004:

Bomb Rickles, an extremely talented racehorse and one of Western Canada's top stallions has died in a freak accident.

While grazing on his Leduc, Alberta farm, the son of No Nukes was attacked by a German-bred jumper who escaped from his holding pen. Donner Bube, a 12-year-old stallion, jumped a five-and-a-half foot fence to get at Bomb Rickles. He delivered a number of forceful kicks to the 20-year-old stallion, eventually breaking one of his femur bones. Bomb Rickles was later euthanized by veterinarians.
