Hoffman Estates OTB now open

It's Between Cabelas and the Sears Centre.
I stopped off today to look at it. They market it as upscale restaurant with OTB.  Very nice looking patterned after the North Aurora OTB which I thought was pretty with good food but not enough lighting.
Food moderately expensive but they do have specials.

Will write more after I spend more time there. May go there to watch the races on Wednesday.

That sounds amazing.  I so wish we could have one like that here in California.

We have mostly (except Pleasanton) OTBs run by non racing people.  People who got the job through nepotism and have no clue about anything to do with horse racing.  Thus, the pathetic job they do.  And don't have to do much at all the whole day long.  Sigh.

They care nothing for their customers.

Thanks for posting about the opening. I just got back from Kentucky about an hour ago. I was thinking about going to Trackside AP to watch the races on Friday, but thinking I'll check out this new OTB now.

I went there yesterday to watch some races. I don't know about the program price because I print pp's at home. But I sat next to a couple that bought a program and didn't hear any complants.
Food a little more expensive then TS but the waitress told me they cook in-house. I had the soup and that was really good. Soft drinks have free refills and never had to wait long for the refill.

Thought it was on the dark side but could read pp's alright.
Don't have to stay in the OTB area to watch the races. Lots of tvs showing races all over the building.

Think it's owned by the same people that own the North Aurora OTB. It is decorated in the same style.
