Takter’s Cantab Hall colt, Dontyouforgetit, was the 5/2 second choice to Wheeling N Dealin in the BC. Gingras got him in gear and took off after W N Dealin around the last turn. He showed trot through the stretch but got steppy with an eighth to go and finally broke, finishing eighth.
Tonight Dontyouforgetit was sent off at 1/5 in the Matron C&G Preview. Gingras wound him up on the back, but he was really rough, so much so that Schnittker tried to go around him with second over Caveat Emptor, who isn’t exactly a top shelf performer.
Dontyouforgetit was placed second after winning a 112K PASS race at Pocono in mid-August. He’s a fast but very dangerous betting proposition. He won six of his ten starts and has gone to post at odds of 1/2, 3/5, 1/2, 1/2, 1/5, 8/5, 5/2 and 1/5.
The Jailhouse Jesse colt, San Royal Blu, wired the field at 43/1 for David Miller.
