So, I just bet $20 to show on a horse at Charlestown.  It says it paid $6.20 to show.  I note in my account that I only made $40.  Apparently Twin Spires (or the State of Illinois) is now deducting an additional fee?  Can someone explain the details to me?  Thanks.

page down I've posted on this.   I think they are taking out more than .0018.  and sometimes they take nothing.  the one thing I know is I stopped playing maywood and balmoral because of these fees.

They are taking a surcharge out of your thoroughbred winnings to fund harness racing in Illinois.

I've been told that it can be .0018 OR a dime per $2, whichever is greater.

Its absolute BS, but from what I've been told, TVG is doing is also, haven't heard if Xpressbet is doing it.
