Wow. Panther has been racing in PG shoes?  Not really a great choice for horses going those sorts of speeds... too much lateral freedom/movement, no grab and a lot of slippage... the harder the track, the more they slip.  Great for the week/training on sore horses.  Not so great to race in.  They'd probably be better off with flipflops and toe clips up front if he really needs that much cushion.  At least they have a little bit of grab.
