WHAT THE HELL. DOWNPOURS ON ANOTHER SATURDAY WITH TURF STAKE RACE.
It is that time of the year when you don't know what the weather will be like. I was impressed that every horse ran in the Hawthorne Derby. Would have liked to see what The Pizza Man would have done. Except for the other scheduled turf race, there were not many scratches. The rain did hold down the handle, that is too bad.
It still was an interesting day. I wonder if there has ever been an all-Rosey exacta before with these two riders. Also, I don't think California horses know what an off-track feels like. I enjoyed the racing, even while being based at Trackside.
