i am confused,
the p4 had a $5k guarantee which they must not have made as usta shows $3790 in the pik 4 pool
if you hit the whole pool or the 1/2 for $3220 how could your good friend have the same thing ?

ARE YOU AND IDIOT ,EVER HEAR OF TAKE OUT?

the only takeout that matters to you is food since you have never cashed a signer

the p4 pool had a $5k guarantee which was not met and the track had to pony up

the guy claimed he  took down the whole pool showing us a $3220 payout
also said his good friend a fellow poster had the same or 1/2 or whatever
something does not sound no matter the takeout
with only $5k in the pool and even with no takeout there cannot be 2 tickets paying $3220  each
i know the numbers are too large for you calculate since it is over the $5 bucks you pay an internet tout for his piks

It doesnt add up according to the pools...........the pool for the pick 4 was only 3700 so it looks like there is just 1 winner after takeout......why was the extra money not kicked in to meet the 5k guarantee is the question here

One way or another, congratulations on taking down the entire pool to yourself. It is IMPOSSIBLE for two people to have had it based on the reported pool totals.

http://handicapping.ustrotting.com/

USTA reports a pool of $3,590 for Chester on 10/11, whereas HPI shows $3,520 (so I know that the margin isn't that much of a difference).

The payoff was $2,124.95 for $1, so there was $4,250, which is the amount AFTER a 15% takeout of a $5,000 guaranteed pool.

That does make sense!

However today (10/12), HPI reported $3,716 wagered in the Pick 4 -- will have to wait for USTA to officially post their number before we get to the bottom of this.

The problem with that figure is that...

So, if there's a pool of $3,716... with a 15% takeout, it comes out to: $3,158, which is the nearly same number as the payoff. If I threw in an extra, say $70-80 because of the difference, then the payoff is about the same!

There's two things here:
1) There was ONE winning ticket, and the ticketholder got robbed of an extra grand when Chester forgot to calculate it from the guaranteed amount, not the pool itself.
2) HPI has reported the wrong total.

If there was over $6,000 in the pool, then who the heck knows because Chester hasn't MET the guarantee since they started their meet this month.

With all respect Jdizigg, if you say you and a friend had it, then so be it. I'm not here to knock you off, but to clarify this.

Stone has reported a pool size of $3,790 -- after 15% takeout is $3,221.50 and how much closer can that numper be to the payoff itself?

I find this very confusing. I'll return to the discussion when USTA posts the official pool total.
