Race 8 @ Northfield

I thought it was a real horse s-h-i-t drive by Aaron Merriman going inside on the final turn and if he tips off his cover would have had a much better chance of winning. And hes one of the leading drivers there. I didn't bet the race so its not sour grapes here. Just observing.

C-house do u watch a lot of races?
I do when possible,
I have a  hard time watching most harness races , I always get a feeling the driver getting the trip waits to damn long to pull and gets locked!

It was a ridiculous drive. I just watched it. I dont know what his agenda was but I happen to think he's vastly overrated and always has been. Winning races in that colony doesnt prove very much. At The Meadows, hes not nearly as much of a factor---obviously the Palone dominance comes into play there, but I dont think he'll ever be a force on any circuit involving real drivers. Regardless, this drive you allude to appears very poor at best. Outright dumping at worst.

Every race at Northfield is run in Lexington, KY.....When one guy owns 4 drivers it makes the races unbettable.......Small purses/decent handle are a death knoll for the bettor......Not hard to talk a guy out of trying when he gets $40 or $50 before taxes when he wins and they have a shot to take 100 or 200 times that much out of the pools

No they planted the chip in his brain but there must have been battery problems.   
I heard they may try again on Halloween to replace it and get him on the program.

I see more of the guy in the pocket pulling way too early and getting beat by the 3rd on the rail horse who never would have a shot if the guy in the pocket sat.
