Its sad to see what has happened to The Isle at Pompano...what they have not done to help the promotion of the sport.  What a slap in the face to the Florida horsemen who fought so hard for thier casino to be opened with the promises of thier help to further harness racing in South Florida.  I guess thier stadegy is to show wealthy casino owners dont care so why should the public care.   Watch the first 4 races from last night...its sad.

I know what you're talking about. 80% of the place is closed and you can only stand on the lower level . The restaurant is closed and there is only one little snack bar to get food and drink.
That place used to great to go and watch the races and have a fun night out. Now, it's like a NYC OTB. It's dirty and depressing. And ...if its a cold night out, there really is no place to stand inside anymore.
I heard the the cost of a bale of hay is like $20 down there as well. Who can afford that?
How can you own or train down there ?

You can get the live feed and video replay feed at the Isle website..just go to site look for Pompano and then the racing links...at least that is a good thing...the horsemen have to pay $900. a season to board a race horse and I think 1500 to board a yearling...with the heat down here we dont feed much hay but it is high priced...year around grass is good and weather is a dream from Nov to May...the summers are torture on horse and man

T queen 4some reason I cannot down load that race?
I saw it was a 5 horse f&m with a 4500 purse and one horse scratched!
But Monday night gigs r tuff to get crowds to at least in California?
