i like the sport, i hope the USTA gets a real professional to do the handicapping to possibly help promote the sport. not some guy who had no idea what he is doing

If you need someone else to do your handicapping for you it might be time to give it up.

I doubt anybody goes to the USTA for Giss's free slections . Giss is more like the guy's on Fox sunday morning whe Howie , Bradshaw and Jimmie Johnson give out their pics , they are doing it for fun and in no way telling you to go out and bet their pics.

You on the other hand are just starting a topic to bash the guy.

listen, friend of Giss. i just told you why i started the thread. i know nothing about the guy personally, dont care to, live nowhere near him, dont care how nice of a person he is, etc. you can infer anything you want

now can we get someone who actually knows their stuff on the website so we dont continue to look so mickey-mouse when compared to the t-breds?

yeah, maybe because they employ people like the Giss and his clueless predecessors.
if they had someone somewhat proficient betting with a weekly bankroll, maybe the casual fan would actually visit from time to time?
any casual fan logging in and reading that drivel is going to be quickly reminded why they arent seriously interested in the sport

What I don't get is the absolute glee some get from others problems or misfortune.
As I posted in another Giss thread.
He is a great guy and is doing this for love of our sport. Whats left of it.

I would give my selections for any track they want if they were serious about marketing the product. The only problem I see is if the selections got too big of a following every play would be bet down to odds on or less. Its not the same as touting sports with pari mutual wagering.

Don't know you from Adam or your agenda. Was more saying in general. Alot of the people here are more tear it down types than try to be anything positive about the sport.

Offer to do a column.

Handicapping and betting runs in cycles. Giss is on  a bad streak. It happens.
Happens to everyone.
