Ok I will answer my own post , If he runs at Hawthorne I think he could win or at least hit the board , If at Keeneland my guest would be off the board. Marty good luck either way!

I'm guessing Willcox will be running at Hawthorne. Last week, at AP my racing buddies (which includes Marty) and myself were all making plans to go to Keeneland. As of yesterday, I'm the only who has stuck to the original plan and is going to Keeneland.

Imo, he belongs at Hawthorne.
I think he would have had trouble with Suntracer, let alone Wise Dan.

Runs 2nd at 48-1 to Wise Dan. Picks up 150k for 2nd, better than 60k for 1st at HAW. Good move...surprising, but good move.. They took a shot

After going over the PPs, I too did not think Willcox Inn had any chance of hitting the board at Keeneland.  Well at 48-1, he closed really fast and took 2nd about a length and a quarter behind Wise Dan.   trophy

Congrats to the connections.

He ran great , my guess is the million try was to early off the layoff. I hate the same color saddle cloths , I lost him turning for home.

Paver-
I can understand that in your declining years the eyesight can play tricks on you and to be not able to distinguish the colors of the sadle towels is understandable. Willcox Inn ran a remarkable race and congrats to Martin and Co. I was convinced the place to run and win was Hawthorne , but that is the beauty of horse racing. Willcox for President! He can beat those other lame runners.  Pave- get to your eye doctor.

Agreed and the Distance is probably to far for him. He distance seems more from a mile to a mile and eighth.
