It might help if you actually had a brain to think with to write these requests......I'm sure these letters are just like the rants you throw here where you just slam your keyboard without thinking

No, it's defeatist. When you're to the point of not doing anything (but whining on an Internet forum) because you think actually doing something or reporting something will have no effect, then you're defeated...

Of course I did something... I voted with my feet. Have you perchance noticed my... presence on the t-bred side? Perhaps not.  Wink

And you ascribe motives to me that are ridiculous... do you recall how we all laughed at that Hankdonwhatsis dood who claimed that HIS POSTS at this board got Pena chucked?   I do not for a moment think that my posts here or anywhere else will make the slightest difference about this issue.  But it is nice to share thoughts, miseries, observations, etc., with intelligent fellow horseplayers, or for that matter intelligent fellow human beings.

Posts do get noticed, but you should still report the issues to the authorities.

Who are "the authorities" who would give such a thing a moment's thought?   I'm not talking out of my fundament; I've litigated with the NY AG's office umpteen times.  Believe me, they have better things to do. Resources are not unlimited.

Good for you.

I don't have to ascribe. You explicitly posted your motivations for doing nothing in this case (or advice to others to do nothing, otherwise why did you even answer my post to someone else?):

"Terry, the AG's office (at least in my state) has a squillion more important things to concern itself with than mutuel-pool shenanigans."

"It's not defeatist; it's realistic.   Do you know how many times clients tell me what the law *should* do... and how many times I have to tell them that, well, yes, In A Perfect World, etc., etc.?

New York has plenty of perfectly terrible laws on the books, but there's not much I can do about them."

I posted about a squillion times above THE RACING COMMISSIONbang head bang head bang head

In NJ that is a division of the AG, and parimutuel issues are their job. In your state it would be the NYSRWB.
