15th race at The Meadows. P L Dragon is beat down the stretch - Palone puts a wheel under Stillings and Intermezzo Hanover to come back and win. Sure there's an Inquiry, but there is no way the guys upstairs would have taken down that number.  thumbs down

Thats just SAD!

I'll tell you what is sad. I thought the rail had a shot there. I played a $60 exacta 2-1 (Palone on top), and then played a $26 exacta 1-2. The 1 went off 18-1 and the 2 was, like you said, 2-5.

So, down the backside I see that the 1 has a ton sitting 4th and Palone is on the lead and no other horses are looking good. The 1 comes first up and instead of just sitting chilly, he tried to clear the 2-5. They open up on the field by 7 lengths. The 1 misses clearing by about a foot, and Palone came into his wheel when they turned for home. Now, later in the stretch the 1 may have come in a bit and they got tight again, but the initial interference was caused by Palone and that stopped the 1's momentum.

So, the 2-1 exacta was paying $35 and I had that 30 times. The 1-2 exacta was paying $100, and I had that 13 times. But wait.....I actually had it 26 *** times if the 1 wins or is put up after the longest inquiry I have ever seen (he missed the win by a long nose). You see, I actually hit the button twice and had 1-2 for $52 God Damn dollars, and 2-1 for $60.

That was pretty brutal, even though I hit it.
