I don't normally bash Ramon and I think he's a great rider like I do with guys like John Velazquez, Javier Castellano, Rafael Bejarano and Garrett Gomez but today I kind of thought he did a few bad rides in the feature races. Like I thought he moved too soon on Zagora in the Flower Bowl and thought could've won with a more patient trip. Then on Stay Thirsty I thought he didn't hustle as well as Joel Rosario did when he won with Flat Out in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. If Dominguez had done as hustling job as Rosario did in that race then he would've won the photo.

i am a known Ramon supporter and watcher and i thought he kept a dead Shackelford alive for the exacta for the bettors--and almost stole a $1 mil race w Stay Thirsty -a 10-1 shot or so

as far as Zagora--i dont think he moved too early but was caught late--so for monday morning quarterbacking yes

Ramons style is smooth and subtle--you wont see aggressive arm action or much rapid whipping--thats not him

i thought he had a good day--had Donks firster in race 1 ber from 15-1 ml to 3-1 and won

he doesnt make many mistakes

I KNOW he won on a race today. Wasn't that bad of a day for him but certainly really just saying my opinion and you're entitled to yours but really thought those rides weren't all that.

winning isnt the end all as far as judging a riders performance--holding together as tired horse(Shackleford)was a helluva try and hold

almost stealing the JC Gold Cup with a doub;e digit odds horse is no disgrace

the fact that Little Mike faded so bad at 12 furlongs ecxuses Ramon there--so what was so horrible that he did?

Shackelford IMO has lost a step and Little Mike does it prefer it too wet and certainly should stick to a mile.

Oh and to top it off Dominguez loses the stick on Stay Thirsty at the end. He couldn't pull an EDDIE D. by using your hands like Eddie did in the BC DIstaff on Hollywood Wildcat.
