I don't know if the Breeders Cup is on ESPN, NBC Sports or any other network?  I started watching HRTV's coverage and it has been excellent.  The analysts don't act like a** clowns or touts like TVG.  They don't show weird angles and views of the races where you can't follow your horse like ESPN or NBC.  The results come up quick.  I'm very surprised.  I hope they can keep this coverage even if the BC isn't at CD or SA.

a prominent unnamed owner said "kudos to hrtv.  if the clowns(tvg) did the coverage, it would have been bad."

agreed especially if schrupp was involved, how much longer before TVG throws in the towel altogether?

I thought the HRTV coverage was annoying as hell. Soon as the race call was over the sound was off.

You don't really like anything at all about HRTV, IIRC. Right?

I thought Pincay was excellent on NBC.

I like the fact they show races, even if that is done rather amateurishly. The hosts for the BC races I watched were the worst, however.

I don't necessarily agree (I'm more anti-TVG and their cast of *** & and stupid "shows" like :59 Flat and such), but I hear you: it's like me turning on a White Sox game and forgetting to mute Hawk.

Or Harry Caray slurring through a Cubs broadcast. Just couldn't deal with it.

At least you could laugh at Harry, though. Even when it was clear he was plotzed, he still was entertaining.

The only time I ever laugh at Hawk is when he cries "Dadgummit!" like a spoiled 5 year old...and it's more of a mean-spirited laugh on my part than one of being humored. Hawk is just a total downer.  thumbs down

You might want to add the following as a favorite for next year.  They had provided the live simulcast for all of the BC races:

http://www.breederscup.com/

We have DirecTV which does not carry HRTV.  NBCSN's coverage was good when they would show BC. It was infuriating on Saturday when they were showing a college football game that went to overtime delaying the BC coverage but with the BC web site, I was able to watch the race that was not shown on NBCSN.
