Do not know if you have listened to Tony lately, But...... his voice is completely gone, it is embarrassing. Yet he continues to perform and paint bad/overpriced paintings. His last few albums (and yes, I DID listen) were some of the best examples of how you can destroy whatever legend you have left.

Thanks Journalstuff, I thought that was great. I think Tony sounds just fine. And I have never seen Lady Gaga do that type of song. Loved that!

How many years older than you is he? About four times your age? How fitting that he is playing a horse racing activitiy as he is about the age of the average horse player.

Tony is a good clean bet.... He's very liberal too..... shows racing is consistent with current events Will more people watch horse racing because Tony B will be singing in the winners circle? I think the new version of Menudo would be cheaper and drawer some latinos to the track.....we alread have the italians....

They ought to give away a big prize -- say, a new car or a trip around the world -- to anyone who can name ANY original hit song Bennett EVER recorded other than "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." The guy's been living off one song for 50 years!

Agreed. There comes a time for everyone to hang it up. His time has passed. I do admire the effort, however, you still must produce a viable product. The stage for the Breeders Cup needs to come up with better entertainment than that, or no entertainment at all if they are to be taken seriously.

Judge for yourself. He sings from about the 3 minute mark. Is he good for an 86 year old? Probably (you don't hear many 86 year old singers performing. Is this the entertainment you want at the Breeders Cup? No way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jglk_hgbK90

Of course here in California, he is revered. I've met him, as many of you know. He's a class act all the way. For his age, he is amazing. And still very handsome. He is the only man I know that age that doesn't have to think his younger wife married him only for his money.

Racing caters to an older crowd -- and certainly, the Breeders' Cup intends to keep it that way with its selection of Tony Bennett as the highlighted performer on the sport's biggest day.....

I let my kids name one of our colts. They named him ZZ after the group. I wasn't a fan, but loved the name for the horse.

At least most of his fans will still be awake when he performs. My wife and I saw him 2-3 years back in AC, voice gone, mind gone and when he started spewing a political rant many people up and left.
