I am wondering if these guys flip a coin when there is an inquiry or an objection.

I have had 2 horses this meet taken down for minor brushing or bumping- the type of race riding where there is not even an inquiry at most tracks.

Now it seems like the last 3 weeks that you can pretty much do what you want out there & they are going to leave the number up.
Can't believe race 8 today they left that horse up after some of the dq's this year.

It is my home track & like to go there but pretty much unbettable product with no consistency from the stewards.

As I said in another thread, the same stewards will probably be at Hawthorne.

The Arlington association steward won't. The two State stews probably will.

I wonder if the out-of-state trainers see things the same as some posters here, that the stews have made some local trainers "untouchable". Just a question, as I have not actually watched replays of any of these races people are concerned about. Would be bad news if that was the prevailing attitude, though. In fairness, however, the KY stews screw our guys.

Again, Terry is correct.  The two state stewards will be at Hawthorne, but Rick Evans will be the association or Hawthorne choice.  Evans is well-know on the Chicago circuit.  Thanks to Jim Miller who answered my e-mail request on this topic.  I hope everyone will support Hawthorne this fall as you people and the horsemen appear to be their only friends.  Maybe the IRB will do something for them on Tuesday at the dates meeting.

Had the pleasure of meeting Rick Evans at the last Hawthorne meet..... a true gentleman

And I may be wrong, but did he not ride in a Ky Derby?

One of the Arlington Stwards must be in his late 80's or so he should retire! and get some new blood in the booth!
