Race 9, Heidi/Taylor/Samantha - paid $289 for the $0.50  (But there were 5 girls in the race.)

Kudos to all the jocks who bravely rode the card today. What a mess out there.

are you 100% sure that Taylor is a girl? I was talking with his/her agent about a week ago and I swear Benny said "he" was Linda Rice's nephew.

No, I'm not 100% sure. But I was under the impression "our" Taylor Rice was the same Taylor Rice who rode at Presque Isle earlier this year, and that one also seems to be related to Linda Rice.

Last night, Jim Miller was talking on Twitter about this all-female trifecta. This trifecta might be unprecedented as they were all apprentices besides. I believe he said that Hawthorne would be writing a story on this soon.

P.S. It sounded like your topic here on BTW is what got people on Twitter talking about it.

I'm not so sure the all girl/female tris are quite as unprecedented at a "major" track as people might think. Some years ago at Ft. Erie it seemed like more than half the colony was female, and they were some of the better riders there. And out west at the little fair meets sometimes it's almost all the riders. But it is a good story nonetheless, and if it gets Hawthorne in the news somehow, that's good too.

My bad, I did a quick search before I posted but couldn't find the above. I must have heard him wrong.
