I really enjoyed it and seeing my filly win was awesome.  Always will have a great memory from my trip there.  It is a clean facility, old school type place.  It deserves your support.  The $3 to park and $4 to get in seemed excessive but I always think it should be free since I'm betting into 20% takeout rates and I bet way more than $2

1. Parking and admission is free for horse owners.

2. If you bet at least $15,000 per month, you qualify for a Platinum card, which gets you free admission and a 4% rebate.

See Customer Service, and be prepared to show some proof of your recent wagering.

Just show your owner's license to the guy at the little parking shed and breeze on through. Park in the lot just to the east of the building.

Then show your license again at the admissions stand.

It was a last minute decision to attend in person.  I still liked the place even though I didn't hear very many good things about it

Yeah it's not nearly as bad as a lot of the suburbanite crowd makes out.

Next time bring your owner's license, though. Park close for free, get in for free.

Did I hear right that Hawthorne is also scheduled for some grandstand remodeling? Or is that completed.
