The Major So Cal track, NYRA and the northern Calif track, usually Golden Gate, but now its Sacramento. I'll glance at tracks like Monmouth, Calder and Philly to see if there's anything worth playing, but i'll only spot play those places. I'll be completely concentrating on Del Mar with an eye on Saratoga and that's it for the next couple months.....i wont be spreading myself thin with a ton of tracks, just going to follow those two tracks until they end. Gotta take advantage of the 'casual fan' money that will be in the pools at those two tracks, they will have more 'casual' money than any other tracks this summer, gotta take any edge you can get.

So cal, nyra, and chicago tracks.  I enjoy presque isle on tuesdays and woodbine wed nights.  Like los al on Sunday nights.  I could usually tell by entries what I want to focus on.

Gulfstream is my favorite.

Belmont, Saratoga, Santa Anita, Del Mar round out my top 5.

I try to stick to tracks which have bigger fields. I do not like playing favorites and like looking for angles. I play Churchill, Woodbine, NYRA, Chicago Tracks (I prefer HAW to ARL but still like ARL), Keeneland, Monmouth, and Florida tracks.

I like to concentrate on one track at a time and get to know it well.  For me, that means Arlington in the summer, Hawthorne in the fall and Tampa in the winter and spring.

I'm like Dan. I tend to concentrate on 1 track at a time. So Hawthorne in fall/winter, Arlington spring/summer. Although I do enjoy playing Keeneland and Gulfstream park a lot.

I make exceptions focusing on other tracks for major stakes races. I tend to handicap the whole card for my local hometown track (Haw or AP) then I handicap whatever interesting stakes races are going on throughout the country.

I enjoy wagering on the Chicago area tracks (AP and Haw in season) and GP in the winter. I enjoy watching stakes at the "Big 5 - Bel, Sar, Kee, CD, SA", but don't care to wager against the whales.

I love Keeneland, i was in a slump early in the year, but when Keeneland opened, i got the ship turned around. I turn into Bart Scott when the Subject of Keeneland comes up. CANT WAIT!

I'm with you. My favorite tracks to handicap and wager at are Keeneland and Gulfstream. I am SO looking forward to October.....but always somehow do better during the spring meet based on the records I keep. Hopefully my success continues over to this fall.

I have a problem with Gulfstream, i seldom play them, if they have a big race or big raceday, i might take a look, but i just have a bad time down there for whatever reason.

I do watch the GP races because if you're an expert on the Gulfstream turf races, you have a HUGE edge at Keeneland in April.

Changed over to GP this past year on a "full-time" basis because of the deterioration of racing at Tampa (mostly due to MWT/Ness presence). Did pretty well there except have a continual aversion for Rajiv Maragh for (get ready for a cry my beer story) probably costing me close to 5K or more because of a DQ on a horse named 'Argentine Tango'. The horse was extremely explosive on the sheets, so I keyed him at 14-1 and forget the amount I had on him but it was at least $50 or $100 W/P, plus a $2 tri AT/fav/all and AT/all/fav. It came in AT, with a 60-1+ second, and the favorite 3rd. I was already getting ready for my signer. Of course there's an objection and AT gets DQ'd to 4th so I'm out everything. 7 months later I will never forget it.

Had positive returns at Gulfstream and Oaklawn this winter. Losses at Hawthorne and Fairgrounds(Seldomly played there). Currently sitting at a loss for AP races to date and Churchill meet was honestly a disaster except for one day where I couldn't lose a bet at any track I was playing (don't you love those days). I can't wait for SAR next Friday.

there is a rhythm to the racing season, it is cyclical.

it ends in early november with the bc races..

it goes in a relatively loose fashion as such

there is an east coast and a west coast,
and a division between the 2.

late fall november and december -
2 year olds turn 3 and head into spring forming the derby trail prep races.
older horses run for a few eclipse points in the closing weekend at churchill in races like the clark Gr1, etc..and it ends in new york with the cigar mile in december for the older ones.
on the west coast the tracks rotate between del mar, santa anita , and hollywood, golden gate is there but i dont follow that pollycrap track.

spring sends the animals to the southern venues that stay out east.
Oaklawn, gulfstream, fairgrounds in new orleans, tampa, and a few others
these tracks and aquaduct make the derby prep tracks.

after the spring prep races end,and the triple crown is run, the animals stay in kentucky, new york, new jersey, and a few more

then summer starts and all the track nationwide finally have grass grown and the turf season takes prominence instead of the dirt prep season.

I used to love playing Tampa. Ness took care of that. They had big fields and nice prices.

I have been doing well at Delaware.  I usually do well at Oaklawn, Hawthorne and Fairgrounds.  I like Monmouth but this year, it's been very challenging.

Whatever one I'm physically at, maybe a few simulcasts from Tampa Bay in the winter, and Hawthorne and Arlington online.

I play only New York  tracks and Deleware Park.  Ive always played Deleware for years play only sprints and turf races.   Sadly the cockroach Ness has invaded there also. I usually pass the races hes in but once in awhile I find a race I can bet against him . If you beat him sometimes you will get nice overlays.
