That's great, but I'm worried about these horses that are running today......102 degrees, hottest 4th of July since weather data has been taken (tied with 1911), high humidity.  I just hope we don't hear news like we did after Sunday's races.

And, the stress of the fireworks after the races can't help.

I think that's the right call. But anyone else think it's hilarious that tomorrow is senior day. Sounds like the makings of an 'all nighter'.

They're not going to make it home in time to see Wheel of Fortune. Channel 7's ratings are going to tank.

Did anyone actually go out there yesterday?  If so how was it?  Any crowd there at all?

I posted this in reply to another topic.

"I was at AP Wed and Thurs. It certainly was hot both days. Wed's announced crowd of ~39,000 seemed to enjoy themselves. By the 5th race I think about 20,000+ were already there, many outside like me and my Buds. Post parades were shortened to 3 mins. No observable incidents. The fireworks were terrific. Thurs same thing except the crowd was much smaller (probably influenced by some unawareness of racing now on Thurs and the first post being moved from 1pm to 5pm with less than a day's notice)."
