They have to get the races over early to clear out the pesky race crowd and make room for the fireworks crowd?

One of the most fun racing days of the year. Have been going with my kids (and now grand kids) for years. The race crowd is the fireworks crowd. About a 40 minute wait from the last race to one of the best fireworks displays ever.

you kinda pretty much seen the deal there..
i mean are they really all that different and exciting,

We're lucky our grooms don't get hurt trying to take care of the ones that ran in the last.  Just barely enough time to get them cooled out and back in their stalls.
