I just got this in the mail?  How I got it out here in California is beyond me.  But have you all gotten yours and what do you think?  I don't order these type of things.  But it seems so weird!

Or, phone calls at dinner that say,

"Hold on for this important message...[pause]...Hi, this is Jim Miller. Do you like Horse Racing?..."

Poor Jim -- a great guy who likely trusted the wrong person...and now he finds himself in bed with some slimeball touts.  doh

Makes the hair on neck stand up.

Some how, some way, he should have gotten control of this.  It even has a creepy picture of him.  One that does not look like I've seen him in any other picture.

But that is the least of a bad idea!

Paid the money for the mailing list from the NTRA or DRF or BC or some such "friend" of us racing fans now, eh? Or was it Arlington's mailing list?

I still want to know who is/are the scum sucking dirtbag weasel(s) behind this whole thing, the ones with the UPS Store P.O. Box in Arlington Heights.

Or, maybe it was from Hawthorne's mailing list. Why the anger toward AP on this Terry? Your inferences on this topic are beneath your typical objectivity.

If it was Hawthorne's mailing list, me, my dad, two of my sons and my nephew would have gotten something. Nada.

I'm also on the NTRA mailing list.

Terry's "inferences" may well be spot on; with all of the other dirty shit AP has been pulling lately, this would be no surprise.

Anything is possible. But until JM comes out and gives the local racing fans a real explanation of what's going on ( unlike
the last one), then the rumors and stories will probably continue until the truth comes out eventually, as it always does. Or maybe he doesnt feel he owes the local racing fans of Chicago that. That's fine too. But it's kind of like the person who
moves by OHare, and then starts *** about the noise. Never become a public figure if you don't think your actions
and interests won't be scrutinized. Especially when it may affect someones wallet.

Arlington is the root of all evil in Illinois racing. They MUST have something to do with this travesty.  Grin

Not to mention the recent run of gas price gouging.

I know for a fact that AP was responsible for seeding the clouds in the Gulf of Mexico causing the storm that became Tropical Storm Debbie. They did this in typical DD hateful fashion because they heard that the Carey's neighbors were going to Florida on their vacation.

What about "this"? Did he commit a crime? Is he selling Hawthorne picks? I say good luck and hope you make a lot of money.

Thanks for joining in--it does seem interesting that he has, apparently, failed to extricate himself for the situation he is now in.

Well, Injuredone, it's really not getting into his business per Se, it's questioning why all of a sudden he's charging for selections which is just not the Jim Miller we know and love.

It's sort of a big shock since he's been giving his selections out for free for so long.  I will say they were great, but why the big change in his persona?

Jim Miller is the good guy face of Hawthorne. If something happens that would in any way diminish his stature or reputation, the Arlington huggers will jump all over it and ride it hard for as many news cycles as possible. It's a political battle here in Illinois, between the Duchossois empire and all who stand in the way of his goal of total monopoly, and any incidents get blown entirely out of proportion just like regular political nonsense.
