Prominent racehorse owners Terry Finley of West Point Thoroughbreds and Barry Irwin of Team Valor International, and racehorse adoption expert Anna Ford of New Vocations will be the guests this Tuesday in Night School, the racing industry's national online fan education program. The 90-minute interactive lessons begin weekly at 8:30 p.m. ET, and this week’s focus is the topic of "Racehorse Ownership and Retirement", marking the 21st of 40 sessions scheduled for 2012. Racing fans will have a chance to ask their questions directly to Finley, Irwin and Ford during the the session, which will be co-hosted by Horse Player NOW's Jeremy Plonk and Joe Kristufek.

Finley is the founder of West Point Thoroughbreds. In existence since 1991, West Point Thoroughbreds has grown to nearly 400 partners and a stable of more than 80 horses. They have campaigned six grade one stakes winners, including the popular Awesome Gem. A former turf writer, Irwin co-founded Team Valor in 1992, and after buying out partner Jeff Siegel in 2007, he renamed the syndicate Team Valor International. Most famous for campaigning 2011 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, Team Valor has also been represented by U.S. stars such as Captain Bodgit, The Deputy, Prized, Star of Cozzene and Golden Ballet as well as classy international campaigners Irridescence and Ipi Tombe. A world champion equestrian and author of the book Beyond the Track; Retraining the Thoroughbred From Racehorse to Riding Horse, Ford serves as a program director for New Vocations, the nation's largest racehorse adoption program.

Another "After Night School Special," featuring live racing from Mountaineer Park, will follow Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET, covering the late daily double in real time with free, live-streaming video and complimentary Daily Racing Form past performances.

Presenting title sponsors for Night School are the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Keeneland, Churchill Downs, Inc. and Daily Racing Form. Tuesday's session will be the 19th of 40 Night School lesson plans throughout the 2012 season, which continues through November.
