i feel that JJ is thinking Googoo can threaten the track record @YR

he seems to be a very big equine--he has handled the 5/8th and of course started @ Ocean--so handling the half shouldnt be an issue

$1200 mare and a no name pacer sire produces this??

this is a fairytale and deserves to be able to supplement to the Hambletonian--but we know thats not happenin

if the Hambletonian Society wanted to do something nice for the fans--the could offer a really high fee to supplement
i realize its not fair to the other owners who kept up the payments from Day 1--but if they made the price to start more than those payments significantly--then they should change the rules and allow Googoo

your kidding right?  heres a list of those eligelbe to the hambo,

http://www.hambletonian.org/resources/Hambletonian876.pdf

theres 108 colts and any fiily thats paid up can choose to race the colts also.   thats 213 horses and with the multiple ownerships nowadays, probably at least that many owners. they paid their dime but to be nice to the fans we should change the rules? i will let you handle those 213 lawsuits and the attorney fees. the hambletonian society wants no part of that.

Funny Tross how you and I love trotters and turf tbreds.
I would say trotters most favorite and turf second and dirt dont like what I m seeing happen to all the young tbreds on all these different new type surfaces.
God I wish like hell there was a real honest to goodness track with a good surface for standard breds I guess there is back east man i hate what these hard surface do to young trotters and pacers.

Good for the owners they got a freek but geez do you realize how that makes a breeding program look ?
it means you have lost your  breeding program if this backed up with another gogoogaga.
Also you expect fans to pay ? Fans shouldnt even have to pay to watch races .Look at the money the owners have made when a horse gets to this status and these kind of races.
Can a horse be supplemented to the Hambo> If so what is the cost?

1:51.1 by Cash Hall looks mighty tough to beat.  That might be the toughest trotting World Record of them all.

I just hope I live to see the day that the official trotting speed world record moves back to it's rightful place at a 1 MILE track.  That 1:49.3 by Enough Talk on the dumb Colonial Downs track really is a dark blemish on the World Record history.

So what would be the total money paid by an owner in payments to have a horse run in the hambo?

27,775 dollars with the 25 dollar nominating payment for the open race. 14,900 for the oaks and any filly that wants to race in the open race must only make up the difference to take her shot. heres the payments for this years hambo.

Thanks for the link swoop.

Looks to me like the owner of any trotter needs to pay a $25 fee early as a yearling and $500 in March of his 2 yo yr to be elgible.

The owner of GooGoo is also the breeeder and trainer and decided to take the cheap way out.
NO WAY he deserves to be able to supplement to the Hambo.

Scarlett knight was a Swedish horse that won in 2001. as long as he/she is 3  and kept eligible he/she can race.

Bottom line is 1:53.2 is the number to beat for the race world record.  1:54.2 for 3 year olds.

Still unknown for Yonkers Trot record at Yonkers?
