I thimk most fans back than considered Nero an underachiever.
His 3 year old season didnt measure up to expectations for Crane and O'Brien

On your "coffee break " quiz---is the second otrainer on the right in that photo  Ralph " Flipper" Fleming ?  Certainly looks like him, but I could be wrong. The horse photo in the second row could be Windshield Wiper. Has some of his features

mystEr003 2nd trainer on right?
Ben White Madison Hanover and Guy Heasley
Mr. Heasley 1907:
Guy Heasley left his position with the Schmulbach Stable to assist Charles Lyons, trainer for the Russian Sportsman, Mr. Ouchkoff.

The one with all the added-crap is Nero.

It's no big deal.
These are just for amusement.

Looking at pictures taken at an off angle by a photographer and looking at horses are entirely different.

I've archived some photo's in which the caption said the drivers name. A horsemen I might have a hundred or more pictures of, and yet this particular captioned photo may not even look like the same person.

Fortunately, there's a big network of folks willing to help.

Brings to mind the time that old "Doc" Erysipelas brought his prize trottin' mare Cabeza De Mierda in to the old trapezoid-shaped 48/119ths-miler at Allamuchy Township, NJ in 1877 to do battle with local champ Chesnut Mary, trained by soon-to-be Hall-of-Famer Menelaus "Sawbones" Empyema.  The two were locked in titanic struggle down to a stopwatch-busting half-mile of 1:15.2 when President Rutherford "Rutherfraud" Hayes ended military reconstruction of the south and sent all the trottin' steeds down to South Carolina to plow the pastrami fields.  The old-timers still think Cabbie could have won.

The man to the right may be Silas "Board-Certified Gastroenterologist" Glanders.
