Sweet Lou's sire Yankee Cruiser- was he based in Illinois? For Brian Pinske?
He wasn't an Illinois bred, but I thought he did some racing in Illinois.
I could be wrong, my mind is going in old age.
What was his stud fee before Sweet Lou emerged? And what is it now?
His stud fee must be skyrocketing every time Sweet Lou races.
And how much will a full brother cost in a yearling sale?

Yankee Cruiser stands for 6k at Hanover farm.  With the way
industry has gone for past few years breeders have been lowering
stud fee's so assuming he was 6k last year as well.  Sweet Lou
sold for 38k as a yearling at Harrisburg sale.  Before he came along
YC highest offspring was Hare Craft earning 286k.  Hare Craft is
out of a Jenna's Beach Boy broodmare sire.  YC since 2004 has
518 reg. foals with 365 starters, of them 238 in 2:00, 118 in 1:55,
and total earnings of 15,894,715.  YC last year just 47 reg. foals.
YC did race in Illinois, trying to find my pathway username and
password to see if he raced for Pinske.

OK thanks for the info. I didn't realize he had sired that many.

If I'm not mistaken,   Dean Magee was his regular driver, also seem to remember him doing well in the 2y old division on Breeders Crown day up in Canada.

Tar Heel your somewhat right 2ND in B.C. elim but finished
8th in the final.  Yes Dean was regular driver as a 2 yr old
and half way during his 3 yr old season then a switch to Andy
Miller.  Brian was listed trainer during 2 yr old season and
then Tim for his 3 yr old season.  I know Brian past but not
sure when?  Park Ranger a little more info, not only has
Sweet Lou performed out of this mare Sweet Future, so has
Sweet Paprika a Artiscape mare earning over 225k, and then
a Bettor's Delight gelding Bettor Sweet earnings close to
2.3 million and currently racing.  There will be a Well Said
half brother to Sweet Lou in the sale this year.  There also
a half sister out of a SBSW that did not see the sale ring last
year.  Odd thing on this Park Ranger, Sweet Lou just surpassed
Well Said record on Saturday, can this Well Said yearling
be good enough down the road to surpass Sweet Lou record.
Open the bank vault if his conformation is good.

yankee cruiser was the same year as Whatanartist, Armbro animate, and the triple crown winning No Pan Intended.i was up at mohawk for the 2yo pacing  colt breeders crown with the first horse i listed. Brian and I were at the mohawk inn having a couple cocktails and my money was no good. brian picked up everything. got to know him a little bit. two weeks later he was gone. a good horseman, and a good person.

I had a YC mare, nice little racehorse but very nasty attitude (with other horses, not people), very big bodied but very tiny little legs....didn't hold up well - doing ok at the smaller tracks in Canada after a long rest.

How did Cancelliere miss that one?.....That guy seems to have a printing press in his basement......He bought a half brother to Bettor Sweet (and Sweet Lou) Sweet Vengeance for like 75 or 80k off of a friend of mine off of a 52.4 win at Dover......The horse showed optional 15 claimers at Balmoral.....

Cancelliere made a lot of there money on the 9/11 cleanup.
Have heard some negative things about there purchase of
Donato Hanover full brother that they paid over 800k.
Odds on making the track aren't good, again it is more
backstretch talk so we will see.

Yankee Cruiser stood at Midland Acres and dominated in Ohio prior to moving over to Hanover.

I don't know anything about breeding (well, i know some, but not a lot) but why would Yankee Cruiser's value go so far up because of Sweet Lou...doesnt Sweet Lou's dam have another 2 million dollar earner from a totally different sire?

Yes mention earlier a Bettor's Delight named Bettor Sweet.  Before
that gelding there is a mare that made 286k named Hare Craft forget
the sire.  So that tells me high class foals by different sires it is the
mare with the influence, there will be a half brother in the sale this
year out of Well Said.  So no YC stud fee will not go up just because
of Sweet Lou.  Especially when stud fees have been lowered past year
for Standardbreds and more so past few years with Thoroughbreds.

Thanks IS, that's what i was thinking. YC's value might go up somewhat, but i cant imagine its going to go up a heck of a lot.

Unless Hare Craft is a reverse Martha Maxine, he is of the male gender, albeit a gelding.  Sub-150 record.

My mistake Hare Craft was the highest earning horse sired by
YC before Sweet Lou came along.  The mare I meant to mention
was Sweet Paprika who was out of Artiscape a half sister to
Sweet Lou.

The owner sent her to Pena and I dont know what she did after that. I know the gal that trained her out here really loved her.
