Despite the claims that a driver change was needed it was of no help last night.

Looks like class relief is the only option now

Yeah, going first-over from seventh into a 54.3 middle half isn't, like, an "excuse" or anything.  Blimpie horses win from that configuration all the time, by jings!  head shake

He could not even beat the horse from the 9 hole who set all those early fractions.

Class relief needed in the future.

I guess my Hoosier friend autotosses horses who lose after going first-over from way back... not a good policy, I would suggest (see yesterday's first at Bowelmorrill, but I digress...).  What part of "54.1 middle half" is not getting across here?

I get the fact the horse paced another big middle half, but this was a race he supposed to keep going forward, Miller never asked him to race until the half, so i'm not buying the quick middle half stopped him,  looked like he was gonna win for fun, and just hung up........definately should have been no worse than 3rd

sick, bled, or plain old common?

His middle half was faster than In Over My Head's was in the Invitational.

I am on record wishing all of Rocco's horses always come back safe and make him a profit.

Not sure how many friends you have in Hoosierland but I do not auto toss them for that reason.
I have seen enuff of Gibbs to stay away from him until I see something I like about him.
IMO class relief is needed.I also still think the previous owner was smart to get rid of him.He was a 4yo with not many starts so he obviously had problems.
As a bettor I try to stay away from any wager where emotions are involved.

You are correct, but one half does influence the other.

yeah, i  have debates about this all the time......in my opinion, it comes down to the horse, i just think the horse should have paced on thru and been 3rd the way the race went..... there are times to look at charts, and there are times to just watch the race,

so I'll say again, i don't think that middle half  hung him up, sick, bled, common (i say this not in a negative way, but i label horses as this when gambling, horses which i keep trying to make excuses for to bet the following week, eventually, i stop playing them and write them off as common, just use them as fillers on tris and supers, but will always use in PK4s and PK5s, because eventually they win at a price a few weeks later) , and now maybe one more reason, probably never trained since last start, supposedly was sick, might have been plain old short this week.

Fair 'nuff, but a) how many hosses win first-over at the Blimp, and b) how many come back off seemingly bad or so-so first-over efforts to win?

I think the reasonable answers are a) few, and b) a number.

Oddly enough I must contest...you state openly your lack of interest and also the fact that you do not gamble often at Balmoral...yet you seem to comment on this horse, and what this horse needs, either you are just talking to talk which means you are bashing the man with innuendos and hidden sarcasm or you are so obsessed that you get the program and then squeeze you hardest so he will get beat so you can open your trap.

If you are so inclined with Balmoral how about adding something BEFORE the race.

Once again JJ thanks for reading all my posts and responding to them.

In addition to my earlier clue about reading for comprehension please also make notes to help remind you.

I have previously posted on a certain night that Gibbs was a bet against BEFORE the races and he lost.
In the future do some homework ahead of time before making a claim about what someone should or should not do or else keep looking like the  idiot you are.

What was his excuse against Rollnlikeabigshot?  Wanna talk about a horse that can overcome impossible trips?  Watch that steed's performances!  & people here had the audacity to put Gibbs in the same category as that monster? screwy
