he was in an entry with Kings Legend which is who they were betting and Marcus was on Zall Good who is who I played so he wasnt hammered to 5-2..he would of been 15-1 at least by himself..also the 9 horse going off stride screwed up the race..I dont think Erv had any clue that horse would be the winner..and yes Als Hammered is a monster on that track..I did play him tonight

They were betting the entry, I don't agree that horse would have been a longshot if by himself.....Crime of Passion made $182K last year....he won the American National last November.....they laid him up....qualified him twice, and his last was a needed start and prep for tonight, and he showed 27 flat last qtr.....I agree with in that the connections thought Zall Good would be better, hence why Miller drove that one, but Crime of Passion was the horse getting bet...not Kings Legend.....why would anyone bet down Kings Legend after he sat in the pocket behind NJsBigDeal twice and came up empty..........and i am very confused as well why Als Hammered wasn't in that race... doh doh doh doh doh doh

I bet the entry and my bet was for Crime of Passion completely.

Al's Hammered wasn't elgible to the Cardinal.  Mike Paradise wrote an article this week, and that was the racing office's response.  I assume he wasn't elgible by mistake, I can't imagine they purposely didn't pay him into this stake.

The flow was completely screwed up with Wilfong going off stride in the final turn.  Not to take anything away from Crime of Passion.

I think Gillepsie is a capalble driver, but everyone with any sense of racing knew they were going to come after him hard last night on the front end go for $50K.  That horse won't last if he keeps front ending him like that every start.
