The America’s Best Racing website has posted a simulation at
www.followhorseracing.com of a hypothetical horse race between 2012 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I’ll Have Another and the 11 horses since 1979 who lost the Belmont Stakes after capturing the first two legs of the Triple Crown. Each of the 12 horses—Spectacular Bid, Pleasant Colony, Alysheba, Sunday Silence, Silver Charm, Real Quiet, Charismatic, War Emblem, Funny Cide, Smarty Jones, Big Brown and I’ll Have Another—“competes” with his real-life racing characteristics depicted. The race displayed is a representation of the results of 1,000 separate simulations involving the same 12 horses.
The simulated race was developed by Horse Racing Simulation LLC, an interactive media company whose focus is developing and deploying entertaining/educational online horse racing games and other virtual racing programs. Horse Racing Simulation, established in 1999, operates the world’s largest social interactive horse racing game and community (Horse Racing Fantasy) found at
