Network to provide 10 hours of coverage with Dubai World Cup broadcast presented by AmWest Entertainment

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it will provide ten hours of live racing coverage this weekend, including exclusive broadcasts of the $10 million Dubai World Cup, along with a pair of million dollar Kentucky Derby prep races, the Florida Derby and Louisiana Derby.

HRRN’s coverage kicks off Saturday morning live from Gulfstream Park with a special edition of their popular Equine Forum talk show which airs weekly from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET on 96.1 FM in Lexington, KY and streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.

The network’s live race coverage begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET with a three-hour Dubai World Cup broadcast presented by AmWest Entertainment.  In addition to the Group 1 Dubai World Cup, HRRN will feature five group 1 stakes on the World Cup undercard, the Al Quoz Sprint (G1), Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1), Dubai Duty Free (G1), and Dubai Sheema Classic (G1).  The UAE Derby (G1) will be heard on tape delay.

HRRN continues Saturday afternoon with exclusive coverage of the Grade 1 Florida Derby starting at 3:00 p.m. ET.  The broadcast will include the Appleton (G3) and Gulfstream Oaks (G2).

Sunday’s broadcast of the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby will air from 4:00-6:00 p.m. ET and contain coverage of two Grade 2 races on the Derby day undercard, the New Orleans Handicap and Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Memorial Handicap.

Fans can tune-in on select HRRN affiliates as well as on Sirius satellite radio.  Florida Derby coverage will air on Sirius channel 92, while Sunday’s Louisiana Derby broadcast will be carried on Sirius channel 94.  All HRRN shows will also be streamed live on the HRRN site.  A complete HRRN schedule along with a listing of affiliates and streaming information is available on the HRRN site.

Mike Penna will anchor the HRRN coverage along with analysts Jude Feld and Sean Clancy.
