Dear Group:

In less than a week "The Big M" opens.

All these horses are coming in from different tracks, layoffs and whatever.

When do you start being a serious player?

I will go first and tell you what I do.

I usually wait until most horses have three+ starts at The Big M.

Therefore its January 2006 is when I get dangerous and starting to give a jaundice eye on these races.

I do like the opportunity but I will be patient to some form shows up.

What about the Group???

Do you play "The Big M"HuhHuh

Do you start immediately??

Do you like an particular style of betting?  ( Ken loves Win and the Pic 3).

What excites you about this track vs. your track you currently play (Ken plays Balmoral, I am sure some of you say Yikes)Huh  Sorry Group Prairie Meadows is closed due to the tremendous handle they had in October!!!

Waiting for your comments.

Kenneth:

Did you vote on the Angry Horsemen Vote thread? That race for the most hated man in Chicago is getting close with the Johnston's having a slight advantage over Doc, the bald snake Narotsky. Good luck and keep up the good threads.

Ken
All you have to do is bet the same trainers and drivers that win all the races. It's as easy as that.

Bet Rucker, Kevin Johnson, Pelling, S Ledford, Silva and the Daley stable (whoever will be down as trainer for him since he's suspended).

Bet Eric Ledford, Manzi, Dave Miller, Sears and Pierce.

Dear Joe:

I did vote and looks like my candidate is going to win.  Maybe not even a close photo.

Remember, this is Chicago.

Our motto is "Vote and vote often.

I do like to run for office, but not this one.

The office I would like to run for is appointed.  Its called the Illinois Racing Board

Ken:

I would love to vote for you on getting a seat on the IRB but unfortunately, it is an appointed position, by the Governor. Ken, you might want reconsider because in order to be on the IRB, the main requirement is your willingness to accept bribes and give the Johnston family anything they desire. If you can get past those two points, you should apply for a position immediately.

Who appointed this women as chairman of the IRB? She knows nothing about harness racing or for that matter about any kind of racing.

I'll take the job and take kickbacks from the Johnson's and then I'll return the money to the horseman and award all the dates to Hawthorne and then resign. How does that sound?

Dan:

I forgot one of the requirements of being an IRB member. You must not know jack-shit about harness racing and have a HITLER-type attitude discriminating against all of the horsemen. You my friend are over qualified for the position. Do you know that over one-half of the current IRB has never been to the racetrack in their life? That is the truth, told to me by several IHHA board members, and I believe it. Sorry, but you know way too much about the inner-workings of racetracks and general knowledge for you to even be considered for a position on the IRB. Maybe one day if you fell down and cracked your head open and got amnesia, forgetting all your knowledge of the game, then you would qualify as a perfect candidate for a position. But as it stands, no-way.
