Ugly collapse of favored front-running Mob Wife about 80 yards from the wire in Aqueduct's 8th.

Dominguez was catapulted forward, barrel rolled about 3 times, then stayed crouched down expecting the worst...but every one went around him safely, and he popped up right away.

No further info about horse nor rider.

the Aquaduct inner was always thought of as a great surface and very safe.. this year has been brutal.

Richard Miglioore was just on HRTV and reported that the horse did not break down, just took a bad step. All Horses invoilved are fine

As for Ramon. Still at the Hospital, he thinks he broke his collar bone

at least the news is good.  As for RD, Serling has tweeted that the initial x-rays are NEGATIVE

It never fails to amaze me when these one-thousand beasts with spindly legs hit the ground like a ton of bricks, tumble across the track and manage to get up with just scrapes.

Was watching the race at the kitchen at Calexpo with my groome buddies and they were betting races every where.
I really thought 4 and the 9 looked real good with the 1 and the 10.
The 4 looked so nice and led all the way and then when she went down it did look like a breakdown but the we she went to get up the other horse just colided back into her it looked awful I am amazed that the horse and jockeys are okay cause it looked awful.
Joe Mama is so right I just cant believe horses didnt have to be put down and Jocks are ok cause man it looked real bad for horse and humans.
