I heard that too. We'll know more by tonight. Maybe the atty. general saw enough in the complaint to prosecute.

Funny Pace you would be going back to the barn that late considering the last race went off at about 11:15 and Ray wasnt arrested until about 12. So how would the lady at the test barn know he was being arrested for race fixing? Especially since we asked Butler to go pick up Ray's horse at the soda barn about 12:15am

All I can say about Cal Expo is if any employee is such a scary talent there, why are they plying their trade at the Devil's Island of harness racing ? Pierce, "Pacing Parker", "Little Joe" and the rest of talented guys got out as quickly as they could, but those that stayed must really be proud of themselves when they face that mirror to shave their punims each A.M. They ought to put a huge fish market on the CA State Fairgrounds to cover the stench emanating from the track each night - and I'm not talking the sometimes malodorous stench this is *** either.    TC P.S. Since you claim to be best pals with Dehrlich, advise him to get out of there ASAP. Even a job at Tioga Downs with their slots would be better for him and his family. I now know who came up with the name *** by reading T C 's thread . I always wondered ! It is kind of funny the name was created on a BTW post . RTP

Must be some really smart guys out there. I have seen many questionable races and never heard of jail time. Just curious has anyone else ever gone to jail for fixing races? I know there was a guy at plainridge who went to the window himself and bet heavily against himself on a heavy favorite. But i don't think he went to jail or faced criminal charges. He was just barred from plainridge i think.
