Probably a wrongly posted work. He's at Millennium Farms, 2013 fee $7,500.

Got a stable mail work notification for He's Bonafide at Oaklawn last week. Knew it had to be a mistake because HAW was still under quarantine. Was corrected in a few days to SHE'S Bonafide.

I visited Giant Oak at Millennium Farms in Lexington on Monday.

Not hard to see why he under-achieved on the track. Huge physical frame, but the brain driving that ship has some issues.

If you ever saw him train you would have seen it also, he was impossible. By the time got to the mile pile to stand like most Chris Block's do, he was in a full lather from neck to rear end, it then took two outriders to get him to train and then when he would, he was very hard on the exercise riders.

He was the perfect horse to 'geld' and he would have been helped alot by it, but his pedigree and his eventual race record meant he was never gonna get clipped.

Winner of 2 Grade I's. Not sure why your knocking his brain? He was a dead closer and always needed a pace to run at when he ran. Never got that pace most of the time, but always made the most of it when he did get it. I wish him the best in the shed. One of the best Illinois breds ever to run.  trophy

Giant Oak is a grand looking animal! I got the privilege to see him up close when he ran at Churchill in the BC. I thought he always gave his best when he stuck his nose in the starting gate!
