Delaware, OH -- For the second straight year Delaware radio station WINF (101.9 FM) and Marysville’s True Oldies WQTT (1270 AM) will broadcast “live” all of the harness racing from the Delaware County Fair on September 18-22, concluding with the 66th Little Brown Jug. All coverage will be simulcast on www.winf.fm
The broadcasts include the live call of each race from the track announcers, interviews, handicapping analysis of each race, updated odds and complete mutuel results. Airtime begins each day 30 minutes before post time. That will be 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. There is no racing on Monday.
Hosting for the second straight year will be Don Berman and Hall of Famer Dean Hoffman, two harness racing experts from central Ohio. Hall of Fame announcer Roger Huston, the voice of the Little Brown Jug for more than 40 years, will also make handicapping selections each day and his race call will be part of the broadcasts.
“Due to the advantage of streaming our complete daily broadcasts online, we received e-mails from all over the U.S. and Canada in 2010,” said Berman, “and we anticipate hearing from even more listeners during Jug week this year.”
Major sponsors of the radio broadcasts include Hanover Shoe Farms, Fazoli’s Italian restaurants, the United States Trotting Association and Midland Acres.
