I agree, however, I think this shows how thin the US runners are at present time. You have a mare that can't beat Blind Luck, who switches over to run against older males in order to have the advantadge. Almost unheard of in the States to have a female run against males in which the female is actually doing so to gain an advantadge.

I still think this Breeders Cup will be akin to the British Invasion of 1960's rock and roll.

Can't beat BL at 1 1/4 miles.....HDG has beaten her at 1 1/8th miles....I still think they r the two best older horses in training in the U.S.

At the risk of stating the obvious, a huge win for Havre de Grace yesterday.

As of now (ignoring sprinters and turfers, etc.) in my opinion the top three horses in America (in alphabetical order) are Blind Luck, Havre de Grace, and Tizway. I just don't know in what order.

I'm guessing that, on Oct. 1st, Tizway, HdG, and BL run, and likely win, the JCGC, Beldame, and Lady's Secret respectively.

Then, I'm guessing that HdG and Tizway opt for the BCC, and BL runs in the Ladies' Classic. If either Havre or Tizway win the BCC, they're HOY. At this point, I'm not sure how Blind Luck gets to HOY if she stays in the Ladies' Classic.

Just my opinion.

HDG is vulnerable at  1 1 /4 miles- by a nose.....i think she's better for the ladies classic and BL for the classic against Tizway and co....was hoping HDG would go in JCGC oct 1st, but they announced Beldame.......she can make give Ask The Moon some competition till HDG goes by her........
