Rahm Emanuel.
If he cannot get people to bet no one can. He is an amazing salesman.

Sam would be a great replacement. One of the few people out there who makes a ton of money and shares his picks with everyone! Also ultra consistent!

Too haggish. If that girl doesn't get out of the bar and get some sleep soon, she will be 60 by the time she's 40. Maggie Wolfendale is pretty easy on the eyes. Yum!

Frank Mirahmadi. He can fill either the host or analyst roles and is an excellent interviewer -- a lost art nowadays. He's also a first rate handicapper -- gave TVG viewers a $44 checkmark (top choice) winner at Saratoga on Thursday.
He's renowned for spending hours the night before preparing for a broadcast, as if it were a collegiate final exam -- and that preparation and knowledge becomes evident as your hear his race-by-race analyses.

You know you put the mush on this guy, right? His P6 play was the absolute WORST I've ever seen on TVG: * $120 ticket * NO winners, on a day when 5 of the six winners paid less than $10! * Missed both chalks, which were pretty damn obvious * Went 5 deep in race 10, and still missed the $9 horse. The guy maybe a very good handicapper on a spot basis, but he needs to stay away from giving out serial picks, IMO. You have to be able to nail the winner in EVERY race if you want to play these bets, and sometimes that means you have to use the filthy chalks.

Barack Obama....he fits the 2 needs the network has for this position, he knows nothing about racing and he's a minority.

Jerry Baily or Julie Krone would bring the grade point average up tremendously and TVG but I would imagine Tvg would have to sweeten the pot! But that would bring the viewers the ratings and more consistant fans of racing.

Very much disagree with you HV. I have seen Julie speak in person many times and she captivates any audience not every women needs to sound like Mae West to hold an audience. She brings good wholesome humor and has such a great love for horses and knowledge plus she is a women which I am sure you of all people HV would apreciate most.

I have a number of friends who could do a better job than anyone on TVG. And pick horses a lot better too! One called me with a 50/1 last week. Horse won. I can't remember which weekend day it was, but it was a Matthew Chew horse and on paper it didn't look like the horse had a chance. But when my friend calls, I know he knows what he's talking about. I got lucky!

Agree with everything you wrote...except the voice. Nothing to agree or disagree about here; it's a matter of preference. I just can't stand her squeaky little girl voice, and it's not just me: I'm willing to be a decent sum that Julie will NEVER get a TV gig because of it.
